This newsletter exists to ponder meaning, depth, complexity, and mystery. Sometimes that’s light; sometimes that’s heavy. Could be simple or paradoxical. Might be familiar or very strange indeed, depending on one’s experience. No matter what, it’s meant to give me and anyone who reads this a break from the shallow and absurd.

What should folks expect? Beauty, love, compassion, rage, frustration, disappointment, hope, vision, truth (as I perceive it), and more. What I reflect on could be anything from the resilience of native plants to the need for quiet to the mysteries of creativity.

Anticipate a post every second Tuesday of the month and an extra offering now and then. Most posts will be essays, but occasionally there could be a video, audio clip, or photo feature.

All regular posts will be free. Some content will be for paid supporters only.

About yours truly

From the age of eight, I knew I wanted to be a writer and became one. I’m an internationally published author of four novels—The Mercy of Thin Air and the Keeper of Tales Trilogy. My work is rooted in my curiosity about the unexplained, my connection to Nature, and my calling from ancestral legacies.

As an editor and teacher, I guide writers as they explore the inner workings of their stories and creative processes.

Born and raised in Louisiana, I live there still with my black cat and my husband, who is referred to as The Renaissance Man in my posts.
